Add-Ons in Autohost are advanced guest screening verifications that can be enabled on demand. These Add-Ons provide additional information collection and enhanced reservation-level risk analysis, ensuring that only verified and trustworthy guests gain access to your property. By default, Add-Ons are disabled and must be manually enabled by the user.

Types of Add-Ons

There are two main types of Add-Ons in Autohost, each differing based on when they run and whether they are presented to the guest:

  1. Add-Ons That Run When Selected:

    • These Add-Ons appear as optional validations in the Guest Portal screen setup view. Enabling them through the Add-Ons tab will not automatically make them run; you must check the boxes in the Guest Portal Screens setting view to trigger them. These Add-Ons are presented to the guest as part of the Guest Portal screens during their online verification process.
  2. Add-Ons That Run on Every Reservation (Behind the Scenes):

    • These Add-Ons also appear as optional validations in the Guest Portal screen setup view. Enabling them through the Add-Ons tab will not automatically make them run; you must check the boxes in the Guest Portal Screens setting view to trigger them. These Add-Ons run in the background on every reservation, providing continuous protection without requiring guest interaction.

  1. ID Verification:

    • Verifies the guest's identity by checking their government-issued ID. This Add-On helps ensure that the person booking the reservation is who they claim to be.
  2. Fraud Detection:

    • Analyzes various data points to detect potential fraud. This Add-On helps identify high-risk reservations and prevent fraudulent activities.
  3. Social Verification:

    • Confirms the guest's social media accounts to verify their online presence. This Add-On adds an extra layer of validation by cross-referencing social profiles.
  4. Security Deposits:

    • Holds a security deposit on the guest's credit card to cover potential damages. This Add-On provides financial protection for your property.
  5. Background Checks:

    • Conducts a thorough background check on the guest, including criminal records and other relevant information. This Add-On ensures that you are hosting trustworthy individuals.
  6. Credit Checks:

    • Verifies the guest's creditworthiness by checking their credit history. This Add-On helps assess the financial reliability of the guest.
  7. Sex Offenders:

    • Scans through criminal databases for sex offenses and other possible threats. This Add-On ensures the safety of your property and other guests.

Setting Up Add-Ons

Enabling Add-Ons in Autohost is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Navigate to the Add-Ons Section:

    • Go to Guest Portal > Add-Ons.

    • Toggle the desired Add-Ons ON/OFF. Your selection will be auto-saved.
  3. Configure Guest Portal Screens:

    • Go to Guest Portal > Screens and check the boxes for the Add-Ons you want to trigger during the guest verification process.

Add-On Pricing

Add-Ons are individually priced within Pay-As-You-Go packages or may be included as part of the monthly Flat Fee per listing, depending on the tier. The price will be clearly displayed at the bottom of each Add-On, or you can visit your billing page for a comprehensive breakdown.
