Creating a Blocklist

Automatically flag reservations from guests who have repeatedly violated your house rules.

To connect your existing denied persons list in Autohost and ensure problematic guests are properly flagged, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Blocklist Sheet:
    • Use the provided Google Sheets link to access your blocklist
    • Contact Autohost support if you don't have the link
  2. Add Guest Details:
    • Enter the guest's information into the blacklist sheet
    • Include email address, phone number, and/or a full name
  3. Automatic Screening:
    • Autohost's system will automatically screen all future reservations against this list
  4. Review Status:
    • If a match is found, the reservation will be flagged with a "review" status
  5. Notification:
    • You'll receive an email notification when a blocklisted guest attempts to make a reservation
  6. Update Reservation Status:
    • Change the status of problematic guest reservations to "decline" in your property management system
    • This improves the accuracy of future risk assessments

Important Notes:

  • Ensure the blocklist sheet is properly linked to your Autohost account
  • Confirm that a business rule is in place for this feature
  • Regularly update your blocklist with new problematic guests
  • Double-check all necessary steps when adding a guest to the blocklist
  • Review and update blocklist entries for guests you want to permanently block
  • This system helps prevent future bookings from guests who have caused issues in the past
