The Custom Screen is a customizable screen within Autohost's Guest Portal that allows property managers to collect additional information from guests. Whether you want to gather specific details about the guest's stay, or enhance the check-in process, the Custom Screen provides the flexibility to meet your unique needs.

While this screen is optional, it provides a great opportunity to elevate the guest experience.

Setting Up the Custom Screen

Customizing the Custom Screen in Autohost is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Log into Your Autohost Account:

    • Navigate to Guest Portal > Screens > Custom Screen.

  2. Enable the Custom Screen:

    • Toggle the Custom Screen option ON to enable it for your guests.
  3. Customize the Title and Subtitle:

    • Enter a title and subtitle for the Custom Screen. This helps guests understand the purpose of the screen and what information is being requested.
  4. Add Questions:

    • Add the questions you want to ask guests. You can choose from various question formats, including short answer, long answer, yes/no, and multiple choice. Customize the questions to gather the specific information you need.

    • Determine which questions are mandatory for guests to complete. Mark these fields as required to ensure that all essential information is collected.
  6. Flag Specific Answers:

    • If certain answers require manual review, flag them for review. This allows you to identify and address any potential issues or special requests.
  7. Configure Notifications:

    • Set up notifications to be sent when specific answers are provided. This ensures that you are promptly informed of important information.
  8. Save the Configuration:

    • Click "Save" to finalize your settings.
