What do we do if the name of the primary guest changes and we want a new guest portal completed for the same reservation number?

If the name of the primary guest changes and you need a new guest portal for the same reservation number, follow these steps:

  1. Check your Property Management System (PMS):
    • Any changes made in the PMS should automatically sync with Autohost.
    • Ensure the guest name has been updated in your PMS first.
  2. For manual reservations or if you need to set up a new guest portal:
    • Use the provided link for creating manual reservations in Autohost.

Important considerations:

  • Manual reservations in Autohost are not synced with any PMS.
  • This means manual reservations won't reflect updates such as:
    • Extensions
    • Cancellations
    • Date changes
    • Messages
    • Other reservation modifications

Best practices:

  • Only use the manual reservation option when necessary.
  • If possible, update the guest information in your PMS and allow it to sync with Autohost for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
  • If you frequently need to change primary guest names, consider discussing more efficient workflows with your Autohost representative.
