How does Autohost assign reservations to different risk levels, and what factors are considered in the risk score calculation?

Autohost uses an AI-driven system to assign reservations to different risk levels and calculate risk scores. Here's an overview of the process:

The risk levels will fall into these categories:

  • Red: Highest risk
  • Orange: Moderate to high risk
  • Yellow: Low to moderate risk
  • Green: Low risk

Some factors considered in risk score calculation:

  1. Guest Information:
    • First name, middle name, last name, full name (including aliases)
    • Date of birth, year of birth
    • Country code, source country code
  2. Global Watchlist Screening:
    • Searches guest information against an International Watch List database (when enabled)
    • Matches are displayed on the reservation details page
  3. Identity Verification:
    • May require photo ID and selfie uploads
  4. Booking Characteristics:
    • Specific conditions can flag reservations
  5. Custom Business Rules:
    • Property managers can create custom rules for risk level assignment

Important to remember → Risk levels are dynamic, and are determined based on any and all known parameters and information regarding the reservation and the guest. The risk level may change with each Guest Portal step that a guest completes, depending how that information fits into our analysis.

Important Notes:

  • There are limitations to the matching process, and results should be reviewed for accuracy.
  • Exact risk calculation may vary based on user settings and rules.
