Is it possible to customize the security deposit amount for a specific guest?

No, Autohost does not currently have a setting to customize the security deposit amount for a particular guest. The security deposit amount is typically set at a standard level for all guests.

However, there are alternative options if you need to collect a higher security deposit from a specific guest:

  1. Stripe Invoice: You can use Stripe to send an invoice to the guest for the additional deposit amount. Note that this will be an actual charge, not a pre-authorization, and you would need to manually refund it later.
  2. Manual Collection: You can collect the additional deposit amount directly from the guest outside of the Autohost system.

Important considerations:

  • Inform the guest: Clearly communicate with the guest about the increased deposit amount and why it's being charged.
  • Explain policies: Remind the guest of your property rules, policies, and the terms of their rental agreement.
  • Documentation: Ensure you have proper documentation and agreement from the guest regarding the increased deposit.
