The Social Verification feature allows property managers to validate a guest's identity by cross-referencing their provided information with their social media profiles. This additional layer of verification helps ensure that the guest is who they claim to be, reducing the risk of fraud and enhancing overall security.

What is the Social Verification workflow?

The Social Verification feature is seamlessly integrated into the Guest Portal flow. Here’s how it works:

  1. Guest Portal Step: During the guest vetting process, one of the steps in the Guest Portal will request the guest to provide their social media handles or links.
  2. Data Retrieval: Autohost retrieves the guest's social media profiles based on the provided information.
  3. Profile Analysis: The retrieved profiles are analyzed to verify the guest's identity and assess any potential risks.
  4. Data Integration: The data points from the social media profiles are fed into Autohost's Screening AI to enhance the overall risk assessment and verification process.
  5. Profile Viewing: Property managers can view the social media profiles directly within the Autohost dashboard for further inspection.

How do I configure my account for Social Verification?

The Social Verification feature is highly flexible and can be configured to suit different screening needs:

  • Automatic for All Guests: Include social verification as part of the standard vetting process for every guest.
  • High-Risk Reservations: Configure social verification to run only for reservations flagged as high-risk.
