Why are guests receiving a "Guest Portal Screen Completed" log entry even when they haven't completed the entire process?

The "Guest Portal Screen Completed" log entry is generated each time a guest enters a particular page or screen in the Guest Portal, even if they haven't completed the entire process. This is by design and doesn't necessarily indicate that the guest has finished all required steps.

Key points to understand:

  1. Log entries: The system logs completion for individual screens (e.g., "Guest Portal Screen GuestList Completed", "Guest Portal Screen HouseRules Completed") as the guest progresses through the portal.
  2. Partial completion: Even if a guest doesn't complete the entire process, they will still receive "completed" log entries for the screens they've accessed.
  3. Verifying actual completion: To determine if a guest has truly completed the entire process, check:
    • The Verification Status on the reservation details page
    • The Guest Portal Status box, which will show "Completed" if finished or "Last screen: [screen name]" if incomplete
  4. Pending reservations: For upcoming reservations, hover over the "Incomplete" status to see which screen the guest stopped at.
  5. Follow-up: If a guest hasn't completed the process, contact them to encourage completion and address any questions they may have.

Remember, these log entries are separate from the actual completion status of the Guest Portal. Always refer to the reservation details and Guest Portal Status for the most accurate information on a guest's progress through the verification process.
