Why are guests receiving messages or verification requests for additional guests on their reservation?

Guests should not be receiving messages or verification requests for additional guests on their reservation through the Autohost system. Here's what you need to know:

  • Autohost's communication policy:
    • Autohost only sends communications directly to the primary guest on the reservation.
    • These communications follow the designated message flow set up in the Autohost system.
    • Examples include guest portal invite messages and reminders to complete the guest portal.
  • Types of communications:
    • Autohost may send text messages or emails, depending on the message flow configuration in your Autohost account.
  • Additional guests:
    • Autohost does not send messages or verification requests to additional guests listed on a reservation.
    • Only the primary guest's contact information is used for communication.
  • Other possibilities:
    • If guests are receiving messages for additional guests, it's possible that these communications are coming from another platform or system used by the property.
    • Autohost does not have visibility or insight into message flows set up in other platforms.
