Inactive listings may still appear in Autohost even after being deleted in your property management system (PMS) due to the following reasons:
- Syncing limitations: Autohost does not automatically remove listings that have been deleted or marked as inactive in your PMS. Once a listing is imported into Autohost, it remains in the system.
- Listing status in Autohost: Listings that were previously imported into Autohost will remain in the system even when disabled or inactive. Disabling a listing in Autohost prevents guests from accessing the guest portal and stops new reservations, but does not remove the listing from your dashboard.
- Existing reservations: For inactive listings, any existing reservations will still be displayed in Autohost and may continue to process scheduled tasks like security deposits.
- Manual intervention required: Currently, there is no automatic process to remove or fully deactivate listings in Autohost when they are deleted or marked inactive in the PMS.
To manage inactive listings in Autohost:
- Disable the listing in Autohost to prevent new reservations and guest portal access.
- Manually cancel any scheduled security deposit tasks for existing reservations on inactive listings.
- Be aware that you may need to monitor and manage any remaining reservations for inactive listings manually.
Important note: The Autohost development team is aware of this issue and may consider adding functionality to automatically handle inactive listings in future updates. If this is a critical feature for your workflow, contact your Success Manager to discuss the possibility of adding it as a future enhancement.
Remember, while inactive listings remain visible in Autohost, they do not incur charges, and new reservations cannot be made for these listings.
