Why are red reservations not being reported to our team when they are automatically declined?

Red reservations are not automatically declined in Autohost. Here's a clarification:

  • Red Risk Color: When a reservation is assigned a "red" risk color in Autohost, it's typically labeled with a "review" status, not automatically declined or cancelled.
  • Manual Decline: The "decline" status in Autohost usually requires manual action. A user needs to access the dashboard and click the "decline" button.
  • Automatic Declines: There are exceptions where reservations can be automatically declined based on specific business rules set up in your account. For example:
    1. If the guest's age is 21
    2. If the credit card fails at least three times
  • Dashboard Access: All reservations flagged for review and all declined reservations can be found on the Autohost dashboard.

To address your concerns:
